beaver pond
| There was a rather long section of the trail (a mile or more I think) that was largely
covered by a beaver pond that some industrious beavers had apparently engineered
since the trail was first rebuilt. It appeared as though they had done some work
on the trail in the recent past to put boardwalk above the pond as much as possible.
