I first noticed the spider and the bee (I probably wouldn't have noticed the spider if not for the bee) on my way up the trail, but they were in approximately the same place when I passed by coming back (several hours later). The spider is quite well camoflouged, in fact there was a second spider of the same type on that same flower that I almost didn't see at all. I am curious about how the spider managed to subdue a bee that was almost the same size.
