The muskegs that I visited on my way back had a thin layer of ice (at not yet eight in the morning) on a lot of the puddles. On may way up the day before (around noon) the boardwalk leading up to the bench at the first muskeg had ice on it. At no time during my trip did I find ice outside of the muskeg areas. I imagine that the muskeg ices up more easily because it is more open.
