Trail Flags
These strips of surveyor's tape serve as markers for many unofficial trails around Sitka. I use the term "trail" very loosely in this context, since sometimes these flag "trails" seem more like a bunch of surveyor's tape tied up on branches which have been choosen in a semi-random fashion. Sometimes there is so much tape in such a variety of bright colors that it almost makes you wonder if some folks used that spot to celebrate Mardi Gras.
