Leafy Aster or Subalpine Daisy?

As best I can tell, this is either a leafy aster (Aster foliaceus) or subalpine daisy (Erigeron peregrinus). This plant was growing on a rock in the middle of the river.

Location: Indian River, Sitka, Alaska
