Old Polysticum Frond
Polysticum sp.
This frond was from the same plant as the fiddlehead pictured previously. It clearly is one of last year's fronds that stayed green over the winter. I assume it will now die back as the new fronds mature.
Location: Indian River Valley, near Sitka, Alaska
Previous: Polysticum Fiddlehead (Polysticum sp.)
Next: Sweet-scented Bedstraw (Galium triflorum)
