Black Turnstones
Arenaria melanocephala
I had previously taken a decent picture of a black turnstone and this time I was hoping to see and photograph a surfbird on this trip to the park. On recent trips to the park I had seen many of them, but on this day there were none to be found. Instead, I spent the better part of an hour watching and photographing this pair of turnstones.
