Black-Bellied Plover
Pluvialis squatarola
When I made it around the point I saw a couple more black-bellied plovers, but they did not seem inclined to be anywhere near me, so they flew off across the river to join a few others that were already there. As I was trying to take pictures of other birds, some of the black-bellied plovers flew closer to me, but on the other side of a gravel bank. This one walked up to the top to peak over at me, before wandering back out of sight.
