Three leaf goldthread is a new plant for me this year. Like its close relative Fern leaf goldthread (C. asplenifolia), three leaf goldthread apparently blooms early in the year. In previous years it had probably already stopped blooming by the time I ventured out into the muskegs at the end of May.
