Sitka Alder Leaf
This is the underside of a Sitka alder leaf. It is sticky and when I was younger we would pick these leaves and press them on to our skin. My recollection is that when held tightly it would leave an impression of the leaf and the transferred stickiness would collect dirt in the form of the leaf. This was our way of getting temporary tatoos.
