Interested in College in Alaska?

Gulls
Larus spp.

I am not sure why the gulls were not more inclined to try catching fish. The bird with the fish made a short dive and stuck its head in the water. The water was pretty cloudy, so I am not sure if it could see the fish or was just hoping for the best. A half dozen or so birds that were nearby and saw the catch immediately gave chase. Only the quick eaters get to keep their meal.
