Green Lake

Here Green Lake is seen held back by a dam which was built to supply hydroelectric power for Sitka. Lucky Chance peaks rise behind it (at the left side of the image). There were a number of mining claims made on the ridges leading back to Lucky Chance peaks and evidence of the mining can still be seen (including old cordoroy roads leading to mine shafts).
