Randy and Amy

At the head of Medvejie Lake there is a fair bit of sand which the stream that feeds into the lake has brought down to settle and form a beach.

In the summer of 1994 Amy Watson made a surprise trip up to Sitka to visit Randy Nutting, her boyfriend at that time (they are now married). While she was there we made the trip out to Medvejie Lake one sunny day. We canoed up to the head of the lake and relaxed in the sun for a while. Randy (on the left) and Amy sat togther and talked while I laid on the sand.
