Randy Nutting and I went up to Medvejie. We had hoped to get as far as Camp
Lake. We did not make it. The trail from the end of the lake was well flagged
and though it appeared there had been no brush cleared this year, it was still
open enough to get through it without too much trouble. We came to what
appeared to be the end of the flags. We walked up along some boulder fields
for a ways. In coming back, it appeared that we should have followed the creek
up the bottom of the valley. The clouds were low and it rained most of the
hike back. It would have been nice to be able to see the surrounding peaks.
It has been almost exactly two years since the last time I went up Medvejie.
