The Nutting's had invited me over for dinner, but the
weather had turned sunny and warm, so they decided to
make dinner a picnic out at Halibut Point Recreation
Area. Last year at about this time we had a picnic up
on top of Harbor Mountain, but you cannot even drive up
to the top because of snow this year.
While we were out there I decided to wander over to a
little (10-15 feet high) beach side cliff. The tide was
high enough that the water was lapping at the base, and
I decided to climb
around along it for fun. There were a number of yellow flowers (I
believe they are villous cinquefoils) growing on the
cliff.
