Sergius Narrows Buoy

It's interesting to take a boat through the narrows when the tide is running. Small boats can run through without much trouble. Larger boats (such as the Alaska Marine Ferries) must wait for slack tide. If they did not, the swirling currents would run them up on the rocks.
