Alpine Azalea
Loiseleuria procumbens
Last summer I took a picture of this kind of flower in an alpine location. At the time I commented that I had not seen it in the lower elevation of a bog. As this picture indicates, I have now. I guess it makes sense that this plant would be an early bloomer at low elevations since it is probably adapted to the short alpine summer.
