Orchid

I noticed this orchid for the first time while hiking on 24 June last summer. The pictures I took that day turned out blury, so I went back and took these a few days later. They were spread sporadically about growing on the forest floor. I doubt they ever receive any direct sunlight. I saw them at elevations ranging from pretty close to sea level up about 1000 feet, I would guess. Based upon Plants of the Pacific Northwest Coast by Pojar and Mackinnon, it looks like a likely candidate might be spotted coralroot (Corallorhiza maculata ssp. maculata). If this is the case, this orchid is one that is saprophytic (it derives nutrients from decaying matter). The only problem is that I found them a good bit north of what the book states as their range.
